Going Nowhere — Getting Somewhere

a life in progress

Referencing Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting for Godot, this series portrays the human being’s quest to find the meaning and purpose of life.

Searching for Godot

The individual searches outward, travelling, moving through the world, looking for meaning, purpose, validation.

Encountering liminal spaces, pauses, reflections, repetitions, dead ends.

Contemplating Godot

The seeker’s ego becomes visible. Emotions, reflections and triggers become portholes of investigation into that which obstructs, blocks, and blinds.

The journey now is inward. Considerate deliberation and thoughtful introspection both quiet and agitate.

Finding Godot

There is no triumph, simply acceptance. There is no destination, only the acknowledgement of what is.

Meaning is found in the presence of the moment, beauty is seen in the simplicity of the mundane.
